This month we celebrated Glad to Care Week, where we celebrated all our staff for their hard work and dedication to their care roles.

Glad to Care Awareness Week aims to highlight the importance of caregivers and the essential role they play in our society. This dedicated week provides a platform to raise awareness and promote understanding of the challenges, sacrifices, and remarkable dedication of caregivers. By highlighting their exceptional efforts in providing physical, emotional, and practical support to individuals in need, Glad to Care Awareness Week fosters a greater appreciation for the invaluable contributions of carers.

Glad to Care Week also encourages conversations about the importance of caregiving, the impact it has on both the caregivers and the individuals receiving care, and the need for ample support systems and resources.

From dancing in the garden to a 70's disco and a water balloon fight, staff and residents at Trinity House had lots of fun last week! This was incorporated with Oomph! Wellness by using their Person Centred Software.

Oomph’s Wellbeing & Activities Platform, along with expert activity partners brings an enhanced schedule of fun and motivational activities to Glad to Care Week.

During Glad to Care Week which ran from 12th - 16th June, we had a 70's disco with the residents where staff and residents got glammed up for our disco and we sang all the classics and danced.

The disco was part of our well-being Wednesday where residents got to reminisce on the 70s music and re-tell stories of their younger years to staff or to each other. The 70's disco benefited the staff as it boosted morale, and residents benefited as we all got to reminisce with them.

Staff choreographed a dance routine and performed to residents outside in the sunshine.

Staff were also treated to a continental breakfast, and even had a water fight in our garden on one of the warm days we had where there was lots of laughter.

Everyone at Trinity House Care Home Edinburgh had a great time during Glad to Care Week. A big thank you to the management team for making it a successful and special week for our care staff.
