Situated on Craighall Road, North Edinburgh, Trinity House Care Home has been thoughtfully designed and executed to enhance the beauty of the original care home and the modernity of the new wings which are built over three floors. 

We provide residents with plenty of opportunities that allow them to get out and about in the local community, they really get a sense of their home in Edinburgh. Our Activity Coordinators aim to ensure that the social calendar is always full of exciting excursions to look forward to, with easy public transport links for family or friends to join, we take our residents from trips to the local shops, to much bigger events like visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site

Trinity House Care Home is in the ideal location, with beautiful surroundings for older people and their family members to enjoy days out together and make wonderful memories; with the North Edinburgh Arts Centre, Stockbridge Market, antique stores and bookshops, shops nearby and an abundance of cafés ensuring that there is always a delightful day trip just around the corner.

We are proud that our recent Care Inspectorate report showed ratings of ‘Good’ and ‘Very Good’ and we are always striving to invest in our care home and improve our services.

Before arrival, we spend time with each new resident and their relatives to ensure that a bespoke care plan is created for each individual within residential care. Should care needs change over time then our friendly, experienced team is well-equipped to adapt your care plan and update personal care services as required and ensure a continuum of care. Our dementia care is given by a team of staff that is fully trained and qualified to provide support to people living with dementia, tailoring care around their individual needs. Together with family and friends, we get to know our residents in order to create an accurate picture of their life, so that we can ensure their ongoing happiness, comfort, and well being when it comes to dementia care.

As part of our dementia care service, we host a range of meaningful activities and alternative therapies that are devised to help people with memory impairment: our specialist and dedicated Activity Coordinators are able to work with those living with dementia at all stages. Our staff provides care and support to the highest standards to ensure residents can thrive in a stimulating environment.

Nursing Care in Edinburgh

We provide 24-hour residential and nursing care for our residents. Within our care home, our dedicated team enable us to support those with nursing needs such as physical disabilities and high dependency needs, and those who become infirm or require end-of-life care. Nursing care is delivered using a person centred care approach, to ensure residents’ health and well-being needs are catered to.

Whether the level of nursing care and assistance required is minimal, or more intensive support is needed throughout the day and night, our experienced and friendly nursing team is on hand to provide a helping hand to our residents at all times. Each resident is allocated a key registered nurse who will soon become a familiar face and will answer any queries or anxieties that you or a family member may have.
