Celebrating National Mutt Day

Edinburgh dog and cat home

On the 2nd of December, we invited Hannah, the head of fundraising at the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home to come and visit our residents at Trinity House Care Home to inform us all about the excellent work carried out at the Dog and Cat Home.

Hannah took the time to tell us all about the rehoming process and the rigorous selection process to make sure that every dog and cat go to the best loving home possible. Hannah brought along lovely pictures of some of the dogs who are currently awaiting their forever home and told us some of the rehoming success stories, which the residents loved - Including a spaniel who went on to become a police sniffer dog.

We are extremely grateful for Hannahs to visit as it gave us all such an interest and happy morning for all of the residents at our care home. We all donated a huge bag of dog and cat treats to help the animals at Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home so they have a Merry Christmas.

We regularly encourage visitors to come into our care home and engage with our residents to maintain a good relationship with the local community. As well as assuring no two days are the same at our care home we go above and beyond to come up with new activities that will keep our residents busy and having fun.

All of our residents at Trinity House Care Home are treated as the individuals they are and we understand how everyone has their own preferences and interests when it comes to participating in our activities programme.

Our fantastic activities coordinator works extremely hard to make sure that we provide a variety of different activities that cater for our residents. Whether our residents are making use of the wide range of facilities we have to offer such as our cinema room, beauty salon, or making use of the local community in Edinburgh, we can be sure that there is something for everyone at Trinity House Care Home.

If you are looking to accommodate yourself or a loved one at Trinity House Care Home and would like to find out more information regarding the care options we provide or the wide range of amenities, then please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to help.
