Arts & Crafts

At Trinity House Care Home, we are committed to helping our residents lead happy, fulfilling lives. We are proud to offer a varied programme of activities and entertainment, including our much-loved arts and crafts sessions, thoughtfully organised by our Activities Coordinator.

Every resident is encouraged to take part, regardless of experience or ability, with the focus firmly on enjoyment and self-expression. Creative activities also bring valuable emotional and physical benefits, supporting wellbeing and promoting a real sense of achievement.

Creativity And Its Benefits

We gently encourage all residents to actively participate in as many of our arts and crafts workshops as possible, regardless of the theme. There are many benefits to arts & crafts as we have found that those who participate in regular arts and crafts are happier and more socially connected. It also suggests that enjoying a creative activity improves hand-eye coordination, memory, and motor abilities, as well as getting to know others that you may not have had the opportunity to previously.

Enjoy Your Surroundings

For our arts & crafts worktops, we often look at our surroundings for inspiration, after all, our surroundings and staff are what make our care home so special. Whether it’s creating mandalas using stones in our garden or making scented handmade soaps, there’s so much fun to be had. The sessions we organise always have our residents in mind, and we welcome any suggestions from them so that we can incorporate new creative activities going forward.
