Team Trinity House at the start of the Kilt Walk in Edinburgh

Team Trinity Raises £1000 During Kilt Walk!

Trinity House Care Home is delighted to announce that its dedicated team has successfully raised £1000 in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a charity dedicated to transforming the lives of children with critical illnesses by granting life-changing wishes. The initiative was part of the 5-mile Kilt Walk, where Team Trinity House made the trek from Victoria Park to Murrayfield on the 15th of September.

One of the most inspiring moments of the day came from Bobby, a resident at Trinity House, who proudly joined the team on their walk. Bobby, a former headmaster, shared stories with the team about his past fundraising efforts, including organising sponsored walks to build school swimming pools. With a twinkle in his eye, Bobby remarked that the only difference between those fundraising days and now was his age. Bobby and the whole Trinity House Team were all so proud to take part in the Kilt Walk.

Hitting the £1000 target has been an incredible achievement for Trinity House, but the team’s fundraising efforts don't stop there. Tegan, a member of the activity team at Trinity House, has pledged to take the fundraising to new heights—quite literally! She is gearing up for a thrilling bungee jump on the 9th of October, and the entire Trinity House community will be cheering her on as she takes the leap for such a worthy cause.

At Trinity House, we are committed to making a positive impact both within our care home and the wider community. Our recent efforts reflect our ongoing mission to support meaningful causes and improve the lives of others.
