Our Weekly Coffee Mornings

Our extremely popular weekly coffee sessions have provided us with a good reason to improve our home-baking skills. Every Wednesday morning, we tackle a new recipe in order to have something tasty to serve our guests and fellow residents the next morning. We also welcome the local community to come in for a treat or two, as we love for our residents to get involved with the world around them.

Chocolate orange cake, Mars Bar traybakes, and Crème Egg slices are some of our most recent recipes. Sometimes we just gather a bunch of ingredients and come up with our own culinary ideas! We promote creativity and independence here at Trinity House, so thinking on our feet to create a sweet feast is definitely an activity that's encouraged.

Our most recent creation was a delectable Strawberry Cheesecake flan. This was a big hit on the coffee morning the next day, and it flew off the shelf in no time at all! It'll be no surprise if we get plenty of orders for more Strawberry Cheesecake flan in the coming months from the other residents. 

If you haven't been to one of our coffee mornings yet, please feel free to pop in! We would love to see you. Come along one Thursday morning between 10 a.m. and noon to Trinity House Care Home. Have a big slice of cake and a chat with one of our residents or team members.  You will always be made to feel very welcome.
