All Aboard the Trinity House Cruise!

For the month of November Trinity House turned into a cruise ship traveling around the world

Trinity House Residents Embark on a Cruise Around the World Without Leaving Home

This November, Trinity House was transformed into a lively cruise ship as residents set sail on an imaginative journey around the world. The idea was inspired by a recent reminiscing session, during which residents fondly shared their memories of past cruises and how they missed receiving the daily cruise newsletters detailing their locations and fun facts about each destination. With their stories sparking a wave of inspiration, our dedicated activity coordinators got straight to work, bringing the cruise experience into our home.

Residents have enjoyed a month of exploration, "visiting" Spain, Poland, India, and wrapping up the journey in Scotland just in time for St Andrew’s Day. So far, we've already stopped in Spain and Poland, and we're currently enjoying the vibrant colours and flavours of India. Each week, we’ve embraced the culture of the countries we visit—sampling traditional cuisines, exploring local customs, and enjoying themed activities that have truly brought each destination to life.

One standout moment from the cruise was the visit from talented flamenco dancers and Spanish singers, who transported everyone to sunny Spain with their passion and energy. The Polish gingerbread prepared by our kitchen team also got rave reviews from residents, proving to be one of the favourite culinary treats of the journey so far!

This unique experience has been more than just fun—it’s brought our Trinity House community even closer together. The cruise has sparked fascinating conversations, inspired creativity during arts and crafts sessions, and given residents a wonderful sense of anticipation for each new destination. What’s more, we’ve reached out to local groups and drawn on the rich knowledge of our multicultural staff, who have provided invaluable tips on traditional recipes and dances from their own cultures.

With deembarcation from the good ship Trinity House planned for St Andrew's Day we've all had a ball on our cruise! We’re so proud to see our residents and staff coming together to make this journey truly unforgettable—a perfect example of the warmth, creativity, and shared joy that makes Trinity House such a special place to call home.

This month has been such great fun for residents and the outer community as during this month, we have reached out to local dance groups and our own multicultural staff for advice on cooking the cuisine or traditional dances. In the home, the conversation is always on what the next activity will be, from arts and crafts to trying the foods from the countries.

If you’d like to see the warm and vibrant community spirit of Trinity House for yourself, we’d be delighted to welcome you. Book a visit today and discover why our home is truly a fabulous place to call home.
