Life at Trinity House Care Home
Our residential care home boasts many on-site amenities for residents to use whenever they wish, at no extra cost. All of our private bedrooms benefit from en-suite facilities as well as comfortable seating and modern furnishings. Facilities include luxury dining, arts & crafts, a library, private gardens, a beauty salon and many more for residents to experience on a daily basis.
Trinity House was built with the intention of satisfying all residents, no matter their interests or abilities. We get to know our residents on a personal level so that we can incorporate activities that enable residents to pursue their hobbies as often as possible. As we grow older we often seek companionship to reduce loneliness and so moving to a care home will provide social interaction and allow for new friendships to be formed.
Getting Out and About
Our care home in Edinburgh offers copious opportunities to explore the stunning capital of Scotland. The home itself is located on a quiet residential road, so residents get the best of both worlds. Just a 15-minute drive into the heart of Edinburgh, residents can visit the highly-recommended hot spots such as Edinburgh Castle, National Museum of Scotland, and Edinburgh Zoo in a group setting or with their nearest and dearest.
Although there is plenty of public transport nearby to Trinity House, residents can utilise our chauffeur driven care service which makes visiting your desired destination a breeze. Arthur’s Seat is a must-have visit for those who like to walk within nature as this trail walk of the extinct volcano provides worthwhile views across the Capital.
Residential Care is suitable for individuals who struggle to maintain their household or looking to live in a group setting as opposed to living alone. Residents will live in a beautifully furnished home, where delicious home-cooked meals are prepared for them each day and where our staff cater to the hand and foot.
Our experienced team will go out of their way to ensure your stay is pleasant at every moment. No matter your reasons for living at Trinity House, we will discuss your needs and preferences prior to admission to ensure our home meets your needs and expectations. Our aim is to provide quality of life, so that residents can keep doing the things they love most without having to worry about everyday hassles that may prohibit them from making the most of their time.
For those living with Dementia, we provide specialist Dementia Care to ensure everyone is receiving the correct level of care for their needs as no two people are alike. Our staff have been highly trained to ensure our residents living with dementia receive effective, personalised care whilst allowing them to thrive in an environment that supports them no matter what.
We recognise there are different types of dementia which means residents will require different levels of care. The condition also progresses over time, so an individual may need more advanced care later down the line. Every resident will have a personalised care plan created that will be carefully executed by our dementia team.
Nursing Care is a beneficial type of care for those who need around-the-clock care and support from a team of qualified nurses. Individuals who are able to receive nursing care include those with physical disabilities, long-term illnesses, learning difficulties or those who require palliative care. Nursing Care is designed to make an individual as comfortable as possible by managing their medication and supplying nursing equipment such as profiling beds, hoists and walking aids.
A member of staff will customise a care plan that solely meets your needs to ensure you are receiving the best possible care at all times. Our compassionate team will offer their assistance at all times, so you can be sure that your needs will be catered at any time of the day or night. Each resident will be assigned a key nurse that will get to know them to the best of their ability in order to provide the best person-centred care.
Respite Care is a form of short-term care provided to those who need temporary care for a particular reason. This is especially beneficial for those who are full-time carers. A break from caring duties is highly important to recharge as you can often feel burnt out. This will benefit both the carer and the recipient, and Trinity House will ensure that the needs of the individual receiving care are met during their stay.
Respite Care can also be given to a person who has recently suffered from an injury or illness which is prohibiting them from living their normal, everyday life. A stay at our luxury home will enable someone to recover faster as all struggles they may experience during this will be removed by our care team. Respite care can last from a few days to a few weeks and be organised weeks in advance or provided at an emergency basis.
